This group is the Austin branch of CBWLA (Children's Book Writers of Los Angeles.) We are genre writers that take writing for youth seriously with the goal of publication. If you are serious about getting published and work hard on your young adult, middle grade or children's genre craft, this group is for you.

We are a committed group of writers that meet every Tuesday and Thrusday for 4-5 hours. We meet at a local coffee shop, share our work and do critiques. Primarily the group will be focused on creative writing (fiction). The main quality we seek - honest (no kiss ass) in depth critiques. Bring up to five pages (12 pt double spaced) and enough copies for everyone attending. New members can't submit the first time, but have to give critiques.
